In other markets there is little special that is indicated other than in the comment section of the MLS listing ("bank sale - no seller disclosure statement" is common).You do not need your own agent.

That's what I need to find out, I guess, whether there are any legal obligations for this disclosure, and if so, whether it applies to sale only or even for rental.Based on what I've learned from dad's care manager, and some other people that I've discussed this with, it may be more of an issue with Asian cultures than with others.

In fact, some underwriters will require it be replaced before they underwrite the loan.In my state, there's even a question on the standard seller's disclosure about whether the house has poly plumbing.Are you buying the property as distressed sale or as a retail sale?
