Basically, the IRS puts a cap on the amount of interest you can claim, based upon your total indebtedness on your personal residences. 

For my first investment, I was hoping to quit claim, warranty deed or flat out buying a 3 unit property, from my mother, that has about 25k left on the mortgage.

It turns into, however, a 15 second description of what I do, which is truthfully more than just wholesaling if our customers need the help or HML.So, is there another term that we can use to describe a pro wholesaler who does it full-time because they prefer to wholesale instead of rehabbing themselves?

podcast which seems to be very informative but, as I have read a lot on these forums and in the BP book for beginning Real Estate Investors, I should be leary of those that claim to know the "secrets of real estate investing". 

Have the made they customized their house too much - like purple and pink house paint? 

My first question is, since Indiana has a 3% income tax do I need to claim it as income and pay the 3% since I am now living here?  

I believe the state will look at past tax returns, if homeowners exemptions were claimed, drivers licenses, etc.
