I am a New Zealand based Real Estate investor.I have not gone through John's Perfect Storm set, however I have done his Bootcamp in 2001, several other courses and a bunch of his other home study courses.His main focus is Cashflow properties (lease/options or wraps), however a lot of info applies to any form of residential investing.I feel he definately delivers the goods (giving both the good and bad about anything, including sharing his mistakes as well.)

My partner is out of town and he's the one that's been studying how to do this, but I don't really know how.

Now, I know developing is a whole new ballpark than what I've been studying...but I do see some potential in this category of real estate.

Dave, If you plan on holding the property for 30 years you will have expenses of at least 50% of the gross rents, you really do need to study the landlord forums to help you understand all of the expenses involved with long term investing.

I refuse to pay that much, for a "possibility", rather, i will study even further.I have found the JVF forms online in a govt. site, and I will do a large study on the background.

Its hard to mention the hood and not realize that there are race implications no matter how you cut it.As much as I want to make money in this business and have studied info, and watched it going on in my own area I cant help but to get salty with people's attitudes at times.
