If so it may be easy to upgrade if allowed locally by your electrical code.If there is no ground wire or conduit you will have to rewire.Is your panel also up to code?

I did some of these mellow upgrades to my South Salt Lake house over the 4 years I lived there and sold it for 70% more than I bought it. 

Does anyone know a good electrician who can help me upgrade from 100 amp to 200 amp? 

Then you add value by upgrading the property.

You may be better off just doing a cost efficient face lift with neutral paint upgrading basics and just rent. 

On the other hand, upgrading electric service can kill you.

When I upgraded to a bigger home, I continued to rent rooms. 

Paint is a cheaper upgrade that can really "TRANSFORM" a space right.
