No , they are obviously here looking for someone they can use to better and promote their own interests. 

Members of the board pay a lot of money, and those of involved with our associations put in a lot of volunteer time to do things like lobby on your behalf (You can thank us for getting you the 20% pass through deduction), create the contract forms, hear grievances, promote our industry and on and on.

The problem here being, by not promoting your success and passion for the industry you may lose out on connections, private investors and potential future deals. 

Cross-promotion.

In other words, Biggerpockets promote them.

When I confronted them, they denied applying for a new rental but admit that they are wishing to move out in 2-3 weeks due to family health problems in LA.

Real Estate is still a foreign topic to me and am still trying to get a grasp of the lingo and mindset; but with reading and interacting on here, I hope to soon be on the track to becoming the financially free person that is promoted by BiggerPockets.

Flipping/rehabbing is a job, and often is closer to speculating than investing - don't be "house horny" and attracted like a moth to the promises of get-rich-fast schemes of shiny flipping promoters.
