Or do you have a Mother Company where the cashflow from your properties is flowing and take the cashflow out from the mother company instead thru dividends ?

@stevenwilson made a suggestion I agree with. that is how my mother started private lending 35 years ago, she lent to her younger siblings (bank then rates were higher, so she saved her siblings some money, but also put her money to work)

My wife's mother had owned the lots for 20 years and never did anything with them.

Mother in law unit is an option too but usually you have to share a floor/ceiling
