This is a little backwards from when we bought our primary residence a few years ago when the realtor wanted us to go through the mortgage broker first to determine how much we could finance.A second question I have about transactions with HMLs is how do I receive the money? 

I personally have been receiving numerous leads through Absentee but haven't been able to convert them into deals.

Or does your broker only receive commissions from sales in which you're solely acting as an agent?

I will only be receiving GI Bill money because I can't get a job yet, GI Bill money cannot be used for a mortgage because it's not considered income, so I will have to find a place with owner financing or lease options...

You'd be amazed how many times the attorney receives it after it has expired.
