If it makes you feel any better, I joined Bigger Pockets about 2 1/2 years ago....I didn't write my introduction post until 6 months later (1/13)....and - IF things go properly in the next ten days, we will FINALLY close on our first rental property since selling our last one in Fall '12....even though we were really hoping to get going in early 2013. 

I'll post an ad on Craigslist to direct people to join my buyers list via my website.Personally networking is better since this is a relationship business.I've also added a few names buy calling we buy houses bandit signs whenever I run errands.5.

Ive been reading on here for a long time and finally decided to join.

I guess this info will not be available until I join the local MLS but if any statistics available out there that I can look at(days on market, values over the past 12 months, etc) that would be great.

I know that joining the local Central Arkansas Real Estate Investors Agency is a good way to start.

If a broker chooses to join the association of realtors or mls there may be some rules to follow, but these are private organizations, they don't make law.

Agents have been very helpful.The biggest advantage of meeting agents before you actually sign up with a brokerage is that you will already have some potential mentors, or possibly even join their team.
