Many brokers have gone correspondent because of this, which will allow them not to disclose origination, and therefore still charge more.A correspondent lender basically has a line of credit from a direct lender, it uses it to fund the loan, and them it sells the loan to the direct lender.Make sense?

I'd say consider your skill level and look for a home that provides training from the basics and beyond.Consider partnering with one of the big gun agents, commissions may be less but you might be busy with more deals.

This is probably a very basic question, but I have no shame when it comes to learning here in BP: I'm about to do a cash out refi on one property (#1) I own free and clear in order to use that cash as a down payment for a new property (#2).If I can eventually sell property #1, am I able to 1031 the cap gains into the loan on the new loan for property #2?
