I've seen greatly different rates, shopping around helps if you're really price sensitive.

If you don't mind, I do have another question: I've been shopping around a bit for different lenders, but as I mentioned briefly before, I'm not sure I would qualify for terms that would be in my favor (or qualify at all).

Shop for credit, go to lenders you know first, then try others to see what you can get elsewhere. 

I use "American Tenant Screen" since 1990 to do credit checks, evictions and criminal background checks.

I am not sure which area you are looking into, I typically see one company manage properties in 3 or 4 resort towns to provide a one stop shop for those wanting to visit the mountains.
