We are currently debt free but are wanting to take out a mortgage on the home we own, we are going to purchase Crowdstreet offerings and/or other notes, debt, etc. with the funds.

I get to stay in the business and do the fun part (finding good deals), am not dealing with clients directly, and still get to make a bit of cash on the side (note: I still have a regular 9-5).Anyway, I was wondering if there are pitfalls I should look out for before moving forward. 

Typically, the contracts that the bank uses will not allow the assignment of the purchase agreement.If a note investor foreclosed, more than likely they'll want to sell for top dollar so they'll sell it themselves or use their own procedure.

Your closing attorney draws up the mortgage and note based on the agreed terms with the client. 

But then you find out it states in the Agent Notes; Cash Only. 

Another thing to note, as much as it sounds like a win win for everyone if you try and call the bank and buy the house before it hits the market, I have never heard of this happening.
