Business/investment rentals are not subject to this $10k cap as the taxes are deductible on schedule E or the entity’s business return (which likely is a flow through and will end up on schedule E anyway).People were rushing to pay their last property tax in the end of 2017 mostly for their personal residences.

I personally won't buy MF in Arizona due to the returns.

Have purchased 4 rentals in these areas and have been very happy with the returns and appreciation.

I'd give them a percentage return on their investment so they can see a favorable ROO and move on.

Not having a W2 is fine but then they look at tax returns and since it’s not on there they can’t use it.Best option would be to report it and *gasp* pay taxes.

Finishing a basement for a rental generally doesnt bring that much return .

Can you hire another contractor, are you liable in returning his cost and paying for his labor if that happens?

One thing to remember,  what you would make on leasing this out for ag use is pennies compared to return on other real estate investments.
