You say potential so does that mean vacant pads where you have to plop down a home or develop infrastructure ( i.e. roads ,sewer, electric   )   .  

I spent time on the phone with the CA FTB and Employment Development Department, and am still struggling to find the right way forward with our complex circumstances. 

If it becomes reality, all kinds of investments will benefit, single family, multi-family, flippers, land developers.

There is also an incredible amount of development in the area which has caused the rental market to soften a bit (average rents in 2017 dipped as Supply exceeded Demand). 

Industry activity as well as proposed and current development projects look to keep us in a strong state.  

There are major technical enablers being developed in the IT and tech industries that can help improve these issues, i.e. advances in cloud processing and language standards (xAPI, being the primary enabler). 

That way if we start with paintball, it is on the least desirable portion of land and would allow simultaneous development of storage, commercial space, or whatever else looks promising on the part with road frontage.

One must develop a comprehensive discipline for analysis and negotiations to help ensure their success in this niche. 

Property management should be left to those who are qualified in this arena, or to property owners who are willing to develop the skills necessary to do the job properly themselves.
