Update on the property in Memphis: We went there on Sunday and came back next day on Monday.On Sunday we drove around, talked with neighbors, hired the neighbor cleaning up the yard and cut the grass, found a realtor's sign on the next block, called him and he became our agent.On Monday we went to the City for the hearing (the house was in code violation), extended the grace period from the City, hired anther landscaper we found in Burger King (saw his truck on the parking lot and asked the first guy we thought was the landscaper).

He mentioned rebuilding the wall under the window and shoring it up really well with 2x4's and then making forms for a concrete fill in, making sure to put a water barrier, such as red guard on the old adobe surrounding, to avoid moisture from the concrete, dissolving the adobe blocks inside the Plaster walls.

. , getting rid of the carpet is a good idea most of the times.I personally use LVT from floor and decor, look for the glue down product and there are a few different colors to choose from, starts at 99c/sqft, very durable and looks great in almost every area of the house.
