Maintenance costs can be somewhat higher with a vacation rental because of the constant turn over and a good cleaning person, while worth their weight in gold, can add to your costs unless you pass the entire expense on to your guests.  

The ones I like are doing fine, much much more inventory and the bad flips still sell but take longer and with price reductions.

By now you might have heard that a few financial institutions in the US and beyond have run into some difficulties..Somewhat counterintuitively the implosion of SVB bank and the downgraded risk of other regional and international banks and lending institutions led to a significant reduction in US mortgage rates.

I'm not sure what the purpose of the underlayment would be in this type of environment other than noise reduction or a very marginal insulation value.  

Some of the markets I am focusing in on are seeing some real price stalling and reductions, leading to desperate sellers.

They are worth their weight in gold if you find the right one!
