We have dual citizenship in Peru and I can tell you we would get nothing near 3 percent and cash is still king.Most is cash and property taxes are cheaper though in Peru at least there is always another document to get stamped or whatever.

They don't guarantee any rents, again there's no home there until one decides to build.I will definitely look into an independent lawyer there to protect myself.

Best to get one from the lawyer you would have do the eviction, if you have to go that far.

We have not yet sat down to discuss our operating arrangement, and will certainly have something drafted by our lawyer outlining roles and responsibilities - very important as we have read. 

I do not think it is possible to deposit with a lawyer because you are on their terms not yours.

The title company I use has an in-house lawyer who drafts all the documents needed.

The lawyer did text her that he thought that the kids getting ownership of the house was favorable given what he knew of the lawsuit, but that was all he said.   

Obviously, you'll want to visit with your lawyer to get advice on those questions, but here is how we do it:We have an LLC that is a property management company.
