I can see doing this for kids or close relatives but strangers.. dont think so.. to me its just another one of those totally grey areas  that maybe legal but ethics come into play.. artificially raising someones credit ??

After that, my experience is I can raise the rent as much as I want and they sometimes say the tenant cannot afford that, but it works out.

SDIRAs have pros and cons, the biggest con probably being UBIT (in the context of apartment investing).Neither of these on their own is going to get anyone to the point where they're retired and living on cash flow.I'd say focus on doing your deals and raising your income while not raising your living expenses, then the rest will follow.
