The purpose of the page is less self promotion (what you do) and more deal making (what do you have to sell or what are you looking for).

Our family has a four-plex that my dad is looking to give my brother and I to manage and own; so he can focus on getting promoted and maximizing his pension.

Furthermore, the better platforms understand this quandary and are unwilling to support it.For both these reasons you might want to consider promoting your project directly yourself in combination with any work you may do with a crowdfunding platform that will list your deal.

And I agree @Alex Lee, there's a lot of self promotion in his book.

I don't like to self promote at all, but I'm going to in this case (search key word RareBird and I'm sure you'll see some recommendations for our networking meetings here on BP) as our speakers in August are soon to be retired engineers.

There are many folks who will tell white lies in this direction which I cannot promote so think being honest is the most sincere way to generate a response without imposing on them.
