This post relates to the ongoing discussion about a recession vs. a temporary pause and strong rebound. 

@Cyrus Jones there are two parts to your story that make me take pause.  1.

The current owner may be able to tell you what was agreed upon when the pause button was hit.

If they aren't wild about your deal, it should give you pause to look at it again yourself. 

If your ambition is driving you to try and bend the law because you don’t agree or think it’s fair time to hit pause.

Alot have hit the pause button totally and have stopped lending for the time being, while many big banks have tightened the purse strings. 

Many private lenders have paused on the rental side as well.

I have seen several HMLs either stop, pause, or postpone certain programs due to what is transpiring today. 

Looking at properties around AL and though Birmingham is big enough and has a low  cost of living, the median household price is lower than I’d like which gives me pause in trying to establish a TOH model.

Cash-flow and taxes aside, having your first rental 2,000 miles away should give you pause right there.
