If growing the portfolio isn't the route for you, then the market is still a great hedge to diversify (S&P returns 8-10%/year on average). 

From what I read in the Wall Street Journal, there's a growing demand in those areas.If you're on the lookout for a reputable financial advisor, I know someone here in Scottsdale who's helped new inverstors navigate the financial maze.

I view it as a tool in a toolbox to help you "trim the fat" off the bottom of your portfolio, so you can keep growing with new acquisitions.
