I have several ideas that will lend well to 'company culture,' based upon actually helping buyers and sellers out of a tough situation, vs. focusing on making say 10- 20 grand gross, vs. doing more 'volume,' in the $5k. - $10k. per deal, range.

I suppose thats why you don't hear about Americans flocking to buy Chinese property. 

Plus, having half the house non AirB helps create consistency in the house with the houses "culture" and norms so when my more transient AirB guests come into the fold they are socialized quickly and welcomed.

I feel like networking has been the best way of immersing myself into the culture and the community.

Yes, there are occasionally large judgments, but they are rarer than popular culture would have you believe. 

I've found that my experiences living elsewhere have helped me understand how different areas of the country work (prices, rents, culture, opportunities, etc).
