BTW, try searching Craigslist for your appliances, you might find the old listing with enough visual context to show it is clearly your rental the unit was photographed in.

(For Veterans investment properties I HML on... 9%.

If you are eligible you might check out PenFed (think to be eligible you have to be a veteran or related to one). 

One of the loan officers I work with was in the military for 20+ years told me about to group of veterans that meetup.

@Chris DeSisto if you don't use a FHA loan then the other likely choice would be a conventional loan (assuming your not a Veteran for a VA loan or buying a home in a rural area for USDA loans).
