I am installing one right now @ $1200.

We figure 50# per s/f of roof load around here but we don't have clay tile much so I'm guessing there's some extra weight there.

We use flow arrestor lines on washing machines and dishwashers and inspect them annually; we do not use refrigerators with water dispensers or ice makers (they are less energy efficient anyway) and we install trays and floor drains under appliances and hot water tanks whenever possible.

However, If you can go to them and say "I am the best tile guy in  Northwestern Idaho.  

She would like to get that going but the company that she wanted to go with isn't able to install for another year or so.

Last month I installed drain tile along the foundation in half the basement that was having water issues from hydro static pressure.

What do you guys think is a reasonable cost/sq ft for labor only to install new tile in a shower?  

A couple years later they complain that they don't like carpet and want the owner to install hardwood floors.

No doubt I feel like you're getting an "Out of Towner" tax, but it's also a risk to the contractor and you both may need a little give and take on the first couple of projects.Labor only, you're looking at $1 - $1.50 for flooring install weather tile or LVP. 

I am installing both.
