To be a true second home, it usually will need to be more than 50 miles from your primary home and either near a tourist attraction, lake, near family, etc.

Ask your buying agent, who gets paid 2.5% - 3% commission of the purchase price, to give you half of his/her commission, or at least 1% of the price you pay for the house.

Since it's located just a short 3.5 mile drive to ETSU campus as well as the VA hospital, Instates, Shopping and Restaurants, it's a great area for rental property, it's also just far enough away from all that to be surrounded by quiet fields and mountain views.
