Hello GuysI am building an ADU in the backyard of my Duplex in Los Angeles, Culver City area (close to Venice Beach).

I am all the sudden on the fence about building.  

In Franklinton there are plenty of large projects going on that will bring massive growth to the west side of Columbus, such as the Peninsula Development, which is a multiphase project that will erect a 24 story apartment complex featuring a grocery store, a multi use office space building, and a new hotel featuring a two-story Pins Mechanical venue.

Occasionally you can achieve cap rate compression for growth or the building comes with extra land for some value add but that's not a given.

Before building out this offering I wanted to ask the community.

I don't have anymore Ca properties but the Santa Clara Farmer's office underwrites an apartment building in coastal wa.

Building a rental portfolio How did you find this deal and how did you negotiate it?

I have not invested before and brand new to this platform with a lot to learn.

My husband is selling his rental townhouse and we are using that money to build an ADU on our property in order to rent it out.

Yeah, I wanted my first property to be fairly turnkey mainly to learn some of the processes, build connections with local contractors, and mainly build confidence/momentum for future deals.
