My wife and I have been hot and cold with this real estate stuff over the past few years as we both have full time careers. 

It should cool the downstairs a bit because cold air falls.  

Hi Juanita, great question -- to be honest, as your neighbor in the midwest (Chicago, IL) I imagine things are pretty cold up there in Detroit during the heart of the winter just like Chicago.

I have been doing  some direct mail marketing and cold canvasing which resulted in my first solid wholesale lead.

I'm curious about buying going into the cold months in Mi and what that means for tenant pool .

We have been driving for dollars, going on showings, and sending mailers for about three months now with no luck yet and we want to try the cold calling route now.

You dont have to be mean or cold.  

I was so caught up in building or attempting to build a real estate team, cold calling for listings and showing homes that I felt I couldn't apply my concentration to any other venture.

@Adriel Hsu thank you for your help currently I drive for dollars but that’s only turned up cold as well.

There is a fella here on BP that has a fairly nice east Texas 25-unit complex that is more like what I have in mind, but I'm thinking I'm going to try some cold-calls in a region I'm more comfortable with, with friends and family nearby.
