My 24 STRs are definitely not rented to the typical person that uses Airbnb or VRBO. 

@Erik Pedersen Its definitely extremely risky to buy without viewing the interior but they why these properties often sell at a significant discount.

So yes, I will definitely want to house hack to start.

Furthermore, I do have some equity in the house and at some point I’m definitely going to take out a line of credit against it as a down payment on my first deal.

@Bob Okenwa thanks for the information I’m definitely doing more research on it and even meeting with a local agent about it getting my license.

I don't know much about out of state LLCs but in CA there's an annual $800 fee just for having an active LLC so I'm definitely trying to avoid that since this would be a pretty small project and that would be a decent chunk of cashflow.
