If you were to purchase for $90k, you should win a tax appeal.

Hi everyone - I have four single family homes that I acquired in the last 18 months and I would like to appeal the real estate taxes. 

Maybe none of those appeal to you.

Objections or appeals filed void any bankruptcy sale.

Quality of tenants may be, on the average, less desirable in multis than a SFD, generally people prefer to live away from someone else on the other side of a wall and will be renting as a lower option, less appealing that often translates into socio-economic aspects. 

For example, ceiling fans in the master bedroom and family room, improving the curb appeal and the front entrance area, fresh paint, etc. 

I tend to have grand visions, and I suppose my time will come someday, but I just get so impatient when I see big developers come in and do something I had thought would be a good investment a couple years prior.For instance, there is an old warehouse the city has been trying to sell for quite some time and theyve been trying to promote it as a business headquarters like it used to be...however I thought over the past couple years it would be better as apartments and lofts with ammenities that appeal to younger professionals.  

He has ample cash not earning much appreciation, so the opportunity to fund a buy and hold investment is appealing to him.

Also, you may want to speak with a real estate tax specialist about this, but remember that if you change a primary residence into a rental, then you can count the net income as an addition to your salary and the loan is not counted against your credit.I looked at your spreadsheet and noticed that you may be able to cut costs by looking into different insurance companies with lower rates, but equal coverage, and also by appealing your property taxes.  

I find an appeal to live downtown during my retired years, but only if it's one of a couple options.From a macro standpoint, our population is still growing (and will likely continue to).
