Aside from the deep cleaning and painting, i read that to really remove the smell you need an air purifier with carbon filter, both of which i dont own as of now.

This place is fairly old, with lots of quirks -- really lousy bathroom set-up, thick paint in certain areas, old doorknobs, sink isn't great, overall kinda beat-up and old...etc.But the hardwood floors have always been fairly nice.So...1.

With duplexes, the only challenge with FHA is that that the property still needs to meet strict requirements as far as the condition (e.g. no peeling paint, no exposed live wiring, etc., etc.)
