In this case two large branches from the neighbor's trees hanging over the house that could fall on the house during a hurricane or lightening, outside columns soft from rain or bugs, multiple lights not working, fridge not dispensing ice or water, dishwasher rusty and at the end of its life, hot water pressure in bathrooms too low...

Now worker has to pay workers comp back part of his judgement he got from homeowner but since he got pain and suffering, and loss of consortium, and because he can no longer do motor cross races he got $500,000 more than workers comp paid.Do not count on workers comp to protect anyone but the employer.

For example, if a property has a judgement of $100,000, and it is only worth $60,000, the bank will buy it back; get paid possibly $60,000 in PMI, then list it as a REO for $60,000.

If the applicant doesn't have an eviction or judgement and the former landlord gives a positive reference I would take that as enough to know they paid.
