You have to get some good inspectors who know these type of houses to help you with the initial inspection.

I’m specifically looking for distressed single family homes in Indianapolis to renovate.

Getting a GC and inspector out will take some time.

Perhaps a nice 1950's built bungalow.Always hire a 3rd party property inspector to give you an unbiased feel for the home.

I know this is an old thread, I just had a follow-up question to add in.Is there a way to get builders and inspectors (or other professionals) to create some document of the rough date that a house was built (i.e. the type of build methods and material used can determine the year of the house)?
