I learned a long time ago, sometimes getting half of what they owe is enough not to waste any more time and money fighting with the insurance company.I shared that to say, you can file a claim with your insurance company, but they may or may not pay the claim?

A pro might be ok with collecting half, since they will probably split that 50/50 with the actual creditor.I can't recall the AJ creditors requirement regarding refiling an involuntary lien (at least for CA) since I always deal with them and don't let them hang.
