Hi everyone,I have always been fascinated with real estate and have finally come across the Rental Property Investing book which has led me to the Bigger Pockets website.

I love directly investing in properties and will probably never stop doing that but I'm also starting to get lazy and not want to be bothered with so many details of direct investing so I'm also ramping up my investments in REITS and syndications so I can let others do the heavy lifting for me.That makes me think of one final benefit to REITS over direct investing.

I am afraid I don't have any choice.

I suspect that is by choice not by any aspect of the industry keeping them out.

I agree that if the deal works, the deal works....but if you fit a few financing boxes and have the choice, you of course want to go with the one that has the best and most suitable terms for the specific scenario at hand. 

Also, the regulations need to be finalized soon but the shutdown is not helping :)

I need to get into every property and see each unit anyway and then also do a new move in or updated move in as is when we took over.Today was great I was on the phone with a guy that knows everything about this old apartment bldg I own and I finally asked him how long he lived there...

So after taking unit one 3 times in the last couple of decades for various reasons i finally bothered to take the  License exam.

I started on the BiggerPockets Podcast and now I've finally signed up for an online account.I am currently located in Portland, OR. but I'm exploring relocating to several areas across the US and looking into Memphis specifically.
