He just can not keep his mouth shut or he is baiting you.

Think you might run into a zoning issue similar to those who try and put tiny homes in their back yards and get them shut down. 

But the fact that I'm getting shut down has been disheartening a bit.

I know that shutting off the water is not an option, so what could you do in this predicament?

There were a handful of drug addicts (the owner among them) and a couple rooms barricaded shut so I wasn't able to inspect them. 

If you put it in unventilated room burner might shut off.

I ended up taking AHS and the Realtor to small claims and the real estate agency gave me $300 to shut up about it.
