Hi folks, we are looking at potentially retrofitting an existing SFR with sprinklers in Seattle (city code might require for a new backyard build).

How hard would it be to add in just a shower to the 0.5 BA (like just build out into one of the rooms)?

@Sneha Deshmukhyes - definitely get an inspection.and again... everything can be brand new and the furnace can still go in year 3. 

Use this experience to work out the kinks and build a strong boots on the ground team.

As the local governments struggle to manage tax payer money responsibly, they should really offer incentives to private builders to build "income restricted" at a much lower price. $220-$300/ft for vertical build costs.  

This area is pretty hot right now in my opinion given it is transitioning, but all of it is rent-controlled for older buildings.
