Another advantage to you buying property back home is when you visit for the holiday's you can potentially write off your travel and cost of stay as property management costs.

This may lessen your down payment requirement, AND give you a place to stay when you visit.

His actions say that he's actually fairly indifferent about losing the house (and perhaps he needs to be educated on this fact), but he probably doesn't want to immediately lose a place to stay.

As far as small parcels I just don't see anyone building new homes in the area, then again I stay away from the city (Syracuse) and it's suburbs. 

My opinion is that the block-chain is here to stay, and that Bitcoin will be the failure that leads to the block-chains true rise.Real estate has centuries of proven performance, Bitcoin hasn't even been around a decade (and is A LOT more volatile in that decade that real estate has EVER been).

I live an hour north of Dallas, and would want to stay in that area.
