I know a few specific trades personally since moving here (they worked on our house).

Talk to your financial/tax planner also.As well, a common phrase in the building trades, is "pay me now or pay me later".Buy the insurance.

Specific trades seem to be fine, but you get the general type and its always some kind of semi-scammy nincompoopery.
