One "best practice" tip would be to make sure the lawyer spells out everything in the engagement letter.

After 20 years in the Air Force, I'm now under contract on my first multiplex. 

I've noticed home security cameras are attracting higher quality tenants or at least garnering a higher rental rate in my area.

I thought it might make a very cool Air BnB but aside from that it was huge stretch to make the numbers work with any other use.

If you're consistently somewhere around 35-40 hours of contractor labor, or nearing that, then it's time to consider hiring if you can get the same quality work for roughly the same or less.

I hope to become a more established BP member as time goes on, but until then i will continuously scour the forums for investing tips and tricks!
