The interior and roof, not so much.

Does anyone operate an AirBNB not out of their primary residence in the Okanagan/Kootenay region? I am interested to see the regulations, seasonality, cash flow vs long term rentals, etc. 

The program guideline is that a minimum of an annual interior and exterior inspection is to be completed.

After closing, I began renovating the kitchen and painting the entire interior.

If you are adding bedrooms, or changing the interior floor plan that usually requires a permit.It is different for every jurisdiction though, so you should check with your building department.
