I posted a few months ago about a deal my father and I were trying to set up.

The reason that changed is that my wife's father passed away, leaving my wife and her sister a small 90 acre farm in Illinois.  

The details are as follows:My father is planning on selling his San Diego Property and buying another property somewhere else by doing a 1031 exchange.

My wife and I are moving to Kona in six month or so (her father is a long time resident) and planning to invest there.

Listen to you father!  

David my father has been a commercial loan officer for over 30+ years in Cincinnati.  

Thanks @Jay Hinrichs - I've already checked zoning and the property is properly zoned for multi-family - My father in law was the superintendant for the DPW for 25 years and recently retired.

I was watching a couple millennials interact with three older generations (father, grandmother & great grandmother) last week.   

I only closed one investment for myself.My father has been into the buying and selling real estate for about 45 years and he has taught me a little bit.  

Since I originally posted, my husband got a promotion here in Tucson, my father just died in Iowa leaving me two run-down (but i think could be cute) houses, and I have a condo that needs a total make-over and sale in Vermont, so I don't think I'll be headed there anytime too soon!
