A good way to figure this out is.....can you see and reach out and touch the heating system, the water tank, the electric panel, the utility shutoff valves ? 

So, you've been living there for 20 years, paid below market rates for the apartment, you've bought a new house you're moving to, and you want to extort more money out of your landlord to move, or deprive him of the ability to re-rent the apartment at a fair market rate, instead ensuring that any extra rent found goes in your pocket and not his.You sound fantastic.And they call landlords sharks.

Car ran great after that except for the holes in the frame that i could poke my finger through, not to mention the leaky gas tank.   

It has a decommissioned oil tank on the property....bwahahahhaaa!

The tank is filled with sand, gravel or foam and contains no oil.

Ironically, I ended up selling it to the guy who put the septic tank in.  

I purchased home in MAbleton, Georgia (Cobb County near Atlanta) without knowing septic tank issues 5 months back.

So, the tenant wanted a 200 gallon saltwater tank, and he said that's not reasonable. 

I think its a GREAT city and endless opportunity.. unlike parts of other cities in the rust best were there are areas that are beyond salvage and will eventually go to pasture.Chicago has these incredible brick homes that were built like tanks.. so great bones.. and the city is not dying.. its thriving.. politics aside... to me in your business this is a never ending land of opportunity.. much more so than we have on the west coast..
