The article notes "This action indicates City Hall is returning to a subject that made waves in 2016 but became tangled up in state court".

One thing I've seen them miss consistently though is calling the city and or county and asking about utility balances and any current or pending actions on the property address and parcel number. 

My hunch is that the article was about some type of government action, IRS or otherwise, that is scaring investors into selling off real estate investments.So my question is, "Are there any recent and notable government actions that would cause real estate investors to panic into selling off their properties?".

This pattern makes a lot of sense.My advice to other rookies: Educate -> Take action (step into the fear) -> Connect with other investors -> Rinse and repeat.My 3-year-old son is obsessed with the Tortoise and the Hare right now.

Let the situation settle, before taking any financial actions.

And if they do, they could face legal action.
