It is not ideal for a long-term project or a lengthy term. 

Even then, you may be able to defend your "for profit" intention, depending on the circumstances.An analogy: if you wear a police uniform and carry guns - you are presumed to be a legitimate cop (other than in a Terminator movie).

They had nice looking street views but the commute times seem too long to be ideal for vacation rentals.

@Shane M.I know the thread is a bit dated...but I'm seeing a spike in calls regarding "QRP" from people that (a) think it's something other than a Solo 401k and (b) are being told that they're the ideal candidate for said QRP, even though they don't have business income.How did things turn out for you?

Ideally, if it could be an M-F 9-5 job so that I can concentrate the evenings and weekends on building my RE knowledge. 

Set up a visit and meet your potential new colleagues and team members and drive alllll around so you get a good feel for streets and neighborhoodsGo to lots of meetups and build relationships...ideally by then you will know so so much more and have a better  sense of your next steps!

Probably just hanging out at home watching a movie.  

I didn't realize $50 what such a big deal, considering $50 is what it takes to take a family out to the movie theater these days..but hey, it is what it is.
