She made a big stink when they put in the policy of giving a 50% discount on their bids to their friends.You are bidding against someone that is only paying with Monopoly money.

The argument given is that these homes offer a better discount when purchasing the note.    

If she knows she is getting a better deal than others, she probably will not mess it up by telling everyone.Another option may be to offer her a lease at $800 with and give her a 50% discount one of the months for signing with you.

Currently, volume is strong and still in an uptrend, leading to the assumption (discounting any Black Swans!)

It is not easy to find sellers willing to sell at a discount but that is the key to finding off market deals.

Watch for power company energy rebates and take advantage of getting a discount when they come available.

Unless you think this MFG is severely discounted this doesn't seem like one I would pursue.

What many people lack is finding deals with enough of a discount worth doing.  

We got a good discount since there weren't that many showings due to the 2%, my clients pay me the difference up to the 3%, further discounting his offer by that 1%.....worked out good for us, probably not so good for the seller.  

I think at the time we were entering the slower winter months, and buyers probably were more willing to take discounts because less buyers were looking.
