What are you landlords doing with the tenants that will not pay rent due to the closing of there business due to the government shutdown. My PITI is still due and maintenance of buildings continue.

The one caveat to this is the landlords who deal in the Specialized Sector of Low-income housing, I don't deal in this space, so I'm not sure what the expectations are in this client base.One of my brothers an Accounting Clerk, got let go on Friday, he received a payout for his accrued vacation days, and all of his unused Sick time, with that large check, and the incoming unemployment checks, I have a feeling his landlord in North Hollywood will be getting paid the rent

Based on the fact that you're on BP, I would imagine you'd like to explore the RE space for better yield, short term (under 5 years) investments...? 

Spend some time on the rehabs - prioritizing and see if there is a way to give you some breathing space/time.

Those who worked in retail, tourism, restaurants and hotels are shifting to new employment opportunities in the "convenience" or even "automation" space.

My wife and I are considering doing the same in Morristown for our next home, we have dogs which will make it interesting, but will most likely look for a property with a big enough basement to make into a separate living space for privacy
