The change order resulted in an extra $1300, but supposedly that would have been the true cost based on the revised design -- they didn't charge us extra for having to ship two loads of material and pick one up.If we weren't looking to move things forward so quickly, we'd probably put up a bigger fight about the extra cost and the missed communication, but at this point, it's worth the cost to just keep things moving.

That's when he spilled the beans, revealing "my sister is a broker".He would have been perfectly happy to let me spend my time and effort finding properties for him and then to have his sister make the sale, and without a contract, it would have been a long, risky fight to get paid.That was the day my strategy of requiring the buyer's broker agreement before investing time and labor was vindicated.No contract?
