Obviously there is their 'Zestimate'... but I like to dig deeper and enter the area you are looking at.  

I would recommend the borrower speak to a short sale specialist, as he is digging himself a deeper hole.

If I was closer I’d dive in deeper.

I was starting to feel more comfortable and so I dove a little deeper and changed my outlook and it turns out I had more questions than I originally thought haha.

Just my two cents but I think we need to dig deeper than just supply vs demand and ask how and why our supply/demand look the way they do and what can change them.

Unfortunately, as we dig deeper into our local market, it just doesn't seem to be enough to get us into a decently cash flowing property that is not in a war zone.We already own a home in a very nice area that we do not want to sell as we are watching it appreciate almost by the month.

Sound Advice Jeremy, I was slightly hesitant of the area at first but after looking into the market a little deeper I found that there are above average areas with superb performing properties present.
