It looks like you're married with child(ren) so a four-plex would probably result in divorce or insanity.

We've sold some properties in the last couple of years and thus have a good amount of cash.

I will stay in the property every couple of months for a weekend or so but then would rent it out on airbnb when I’m not at the property.

I just purchased a couple smaller apartment bldgs where the rent is about 100 low per month.

Go to a couple of "Opens" houses for sale in the neighborhood and see what level of finish you are competing against.
