Hey Jerryll,  First I'll tell you I'm no expert, but I've been considering some of the same deals in my area, and for me they may not be the best way into the market, for a few of the following reasons:  1) 'Historic home,' at least in Milwaukee, WI, doesn't seem to mean a whole lot.

If someone contacts you then you don't have any obligation to gather accreditation documentation from them certified by the new acts, but you should certainly make sure they're suitable for investing in your projects.

This idea was tossed around at a REIA meeting I attended earlier this year, so input from the forum experts is welcome.Also, I was under the impression there are some age related restrictions on certain holding periods - is there any real truth to that?

Either way works.But the ONE THING all these succesful investors share in common is that they have built a team for themselves of EXPERTS to guide them, and I'm specifically talking about ATTORNEYS and ACCOUNTANTS and GCs and so forth.I would be interested in learning your reasons for approaching REI differently.
