Nonetheless, I’m still worried about jumping in this REI world alone.

A forum can only grow so far before someone has to choose between keeping their "labor of love" just that or make a BIGGER impact in the world and figure out "the business" and scale and monetize parts of it. 

Since I come from the production world and initiated a lot of vendor agreements I am able to build about 15% less than most of our competition. 

We try to alternate between a formal meeting & a more laid back meeting (for laid back we just meet at World of Beer or somewhere like that)I'll tag some local investors that I'm sure would welcome you..

In a perfect world, I would love to have financing sail through quickly.

Hello everyoneWe would like to dive in the real estate investment world somewhere, US or Canada...My husband and I currently live in the US with visas so we are both resident aliens.

However, I am conflicted because I do understand the huge amount of debt that this will get me in but fear keeps telling me that the only way to be successful in the Realestate world is to learn these things in school.

Using the knowledge I've gained from working with developers to produce the best product possible while still making a profit, my goal is to provide quality design within proximity to world class skiing that is financially available to everyone.

As far as renting...we haven't gotten much traction in the short term rental world with this house, but do have some people interested in renting from May-Aug (600+/month cash flow).
